This course focuses on the topic of Addiction and work with addicted clients in the context of helping professions. We concentrate on the topic of Addiction together with other related terminology from the point of view of social workers and their use. This topic is aimed at the definition of Addiction, types of Addiction, its causes, impact, treatment and prevention. This course focuses on the topic of Stress and Dealing with stress in both everyday life and in the context of helping professions. We concentrate on the topic of "Stress" together with other related terminology from the point of view of social workers and their use.  This topic is aimed at understanding what stress is and what it is not; differences and similarities with trauma and crisis; coping strategies, its impact upon individual and specific theories of stress and their authors. This course focuses on the topic of First contact with a client in both everyday life and social work profession. We will concentrate on the topic of "First contact" together with other related terminology from the point of view of social workers and their use.  This topic is aimed at establishing the contact, principles of the first contact, types of clients social workers may get in touch with and also at some specific strategies that might be useful to integrate into the process of the first contact. The level of the course, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), is B1-B2. This course focuses on the topic of Therapeutic Approaches and techniques that might be usefuel to be oriented in from the perspective of social worker when dealing with various types of clients.We concentrate on the topic of Therapy, its forms and individual approaches together with other related terminology from the point of view of social workers and their use.  This topic is aimed at the therapies and therapeutical tools that might be useful in the context of any helping profession especially in the process of communication. This course provides students with enough information about the similarities and differences between therapy and counselling services and about motivational interviews. It also determines the pros and cons of problem talk and solution talk and makes students do the revision of making questions. The level of the course, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), is B1-B2. The course also aims to refresh and further build up active knowledge ofgrammytical structures and general vocabulary.
