Abstract

The course focuses on the topic of burn-out syndrome and its prevention, as well as helping professions. We concentrate on burn-out syndrome and other related terminology from the point of view of social workers. This topic is aimed at the phases of burn-out syndrome, its prevention, and various ways of dealing with it.

The level of the course, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), is B1-B2. The course also aims to refresh and further build up active knowledge of grammatical structures and general vocabulary.

The competence the course fosters is to be able to define burn-out syndrome - its causes, prevention, stages, and the reasons that contribute to its occurrence among helping professionals.
