Studenti se seznámí s vybranými aspekty chemie a farmakognosie. Dokáží definovat základní pojmy spojené s prvky a jejich sloučeninami. Dále pak dokáží vysvětlit, co je farmakognosie, drogy, jak se získávají a k čemu se používají. Studenti rovněž popíší hlavní léčivé rostliny, jejich účinné látky a alternativní léčbu. Použitou slovní zásobu si studenti upevní využitím slovníčku a interaktivních cvičení. Na konci si studenti ověří znalosti tématu v samostudijním testu.

The students will become acquainted with selected aspects of chemistry and pharmacognosy. They can describe terminology connected with herbal active ingredients, their extraction and use. Moreover, they will be able to name main herbs and their use together with alternative treatment. Vocabulary employed in the text will be consolidated by the use of the vocabulary list. At the end of the study, the students will verify their knowledge of the subject matter in a self-test.
